I am sure that this has been raised before in respect of MoT's etc but I am after reassurance!

My 101 Radio truck is at our local garage (for a clutch problem, not an MoT test) and the owner is nervous about putting it on his 3 tonne lift 'as it looks heavier that the book says'.

I've quoted the unladen weight of 1924kg to him and he's done some Googling and I think that mention of the 'Max Revenue Weight and Max laden weights in excess of 3000 kg have spooked him.

Am I correct in the belief that the it won't challenge his 3 tonne lift?

Cheers,

Ian

Unfortunately I'm of no authority but I feel you will be under 3 tons. The ramp should cut out if it's too heavy anyway. Let's just hope his cables have been tested recently. I'm sure my GS weighed in at 2080KG. The radio body cannot weigh a ton. Plus ramps will have a tolerance to lift more than their recommendation
