Be carefull! It must not be here and now but it has been in the past more then one times!
The vehicle is in another country like the owner and can be sold to everywhere.

If someone likes to buy it look for a sure way!

It has been more then one times last year that people lost the money!

Yeah, just stumbled across this one, too.

The add says: "Vehicle located in Poland, British owner, contact via a German speaking broker in London ..." I'd also be careful with this one.

Hi all, Czołg is mine, I bought her as an ambulance in Feb 2000 and she's sadley for sale now 'cos I can't register her here in Poland. Despite being an EU country now the first point on the polish equivelent to an MOT is, ''is the steering wheel on the left?'', if its not - the vehilce will fail its test.
Now, a bottle of vodka to the examiner seems to let all kinds of dangerous vehicles onto the roads here but having the wheel on the right side is just that little bit too dangerous even for polish roads????
In answer to the previous posts. I built her at Staffod Dovey's in Rayader Wales about 6 years ago and I've never tried selling her before.
Another similar white 7 seater was owned and built by Marcel Whurst. She had a 2.7 nissan engine and a rear door. Oh and was LHD.....and for sale when I built Cz.....''please don't say it''
The last time I spoke to Marcel he said he'd sold her to Africa as she kept failing her MOT due to high emmisions.
I've made the drive, to England, for the MOT 3 times now. To be comfortable its a 3 day drive from here and despite making a holiday of it, visiting my family and my wife stacking us full of loot from car boot sales for the return, we just can't manage it any more.
After the years of work I've put into her, I don't have the time or heart to change the steering over.
To try and recoup some of the money thats been spent on her she's advertized in Germany with the Austrian hair dryers. I've a German friend and he's dealing with the advertizing and, hopefully, queries for me.
I've been a club member for some years now but never participated further than subscribing.
I've plenty of pics from our years with Czołg and I promise to get something/s to Six Stud soon.

Anyone getting this far east in their 101 is of course welcome here in beautiful Piwniczna Zdrój.

Ryan - word of advice. I belive there is a case in some sort of international tribunal re the fact that RHD vehicles can`t be refistered in poland and the response time for polish goverment is nearly up so I would advice to give it a bit more time.
Also did You try to register as a "special vehicle" (yellow plates)?? This could work. How do I know?? I`m Polish. (btw, there are 2 ferrets in poland registered as special vehs - steering wheel in the middle - so You might suceeed).

We did consider the yellow plates. There seems to be a limited milage alowed and the vehicle papers state first reg as 02/2000. Also she is nothing like original.

Our best solution was to attach an extra set of wheels to the roof and upturn her for that part of the test. This also would solve the ''problem'' of the rear passenger door being on the ''wrong'' side.

Wow, I have to say that is a very impressive conversion from the pics!!!

Buerocrat's, they stick their noses into everything, well intentioned no doubt in the first place but then so inflexible its maddening!

If you can't find a solution I hope you get what you want for it, it certainly looks like a great truck!!!

Have you thought about putting an ad on some of expedition sites such as the one below.

After more digging. EC ruled that Polish law is unfair and discriminates products from other EC states but not allowing to register RHD vehicled. EC commision also ruled that law has to be changed. There suppose to be an important decision (made by National Administration Court - NSA - ask Your wife) made on the 27th.
I will be looking carefully as I`m very interested (have a few intesreting vehicles that were never made in LHD versions).
I will keep this thead up to date when I find out anything..

now when you are here it is more easy because the warning is not just for the buyer it is even for the seller.

During the last years there had been warnings from ebay, mobile and in the german TV.
It was the same thing in 2 directions. In short words:
1. People offered a vehicle, cheaper then on the market, but it is in another country.
But to get it for this cheap price the need a deposit. Some people did payed this deposit and heard never again from this (don't asked how many stupids are on this planet.......)
Sure that the story was with more words and explanations then my few simple words.....
This means the seller is the bad boy!

2. The other way, now for you because you are the seller (a fine boy I hope!)
People did asked to buy a vehicle from another country and told the seller that they real want it and don't have the time to look for it and that they are willing to pay the full price.
Say the price is 10 000 Euro, then they did send a cheque over 10 900 (more money!) and asked the seller to send the 900 Euro extra to a Trucking Company which should pick up the car then.

The seller was happy, waiting for a Trucking Company which never came.......
But the bank phoned him a few weeks later, the cheque was not OK and they have to book the complete money back. This means the seller has lost 900 Euro (but still owns the car!).
This time the buyer is the bad boy (and sometimes the same person like the seller in example 1)

This was from different countries all over Europe!

When I first read your add it sounds like something from the same direction:
"Vehicle located in Poland, British owner, contact via a German speaking broker in London"

To say it clear: I never said that Ryan is doing it this way and I must say sorry if somebody misunderstood it! My warning was just: If you buy from another country, look for a sure way.


I hope you Ryan can understand my warning and you are not angry (special because I was 2 times in Poland, one time with "THE ANIMAL", and knowing a 101 owner in Poland may open a new door, even if we had a bad start........)



Are you sure that you must sell it? Once when they real follow the EU rules the have to realise that "One time registered in the EU, it will get a registration in all EU Countries"!

Just the Countries are still far away from this.....

We have the same problem in Germany, my 1976 Volvo had civilian swedish brand new EU papers, that made the thing much easier!

Andy, to make amends you should do this:

1: drive north from yours and put your 6 or 4 wheels on the E50.
2: make sure the front ones point east and .... go.
3: after some time on this road (maybe a day or two) you'll reach Poprad SK.
4: Stop.
5: call me (this will give me enough time to chill / warm [its -23deg at the moment] the beers)
6: head up over the Carpathians
7: I'll hear the 6/8 cylider bubble / cough / splutter as you descend and come down to greet you!

So if your brave enough, be sure to give it ago.

Of course there's no offence taken.
