So, after four days of emails finally sorted out the tickets for W&P, much work done by the ticket company boys & girls. We have all fifteen A4 pages of tickets, that's one ticket for every vehicle and person going in my group, only one tree used, it looks like it's going to be fun at booking in. Confirm that the toilets have been booked and paid for (by me) and are due on site from Saturday 22.07.17, but maybe Sunday. Looking to camp in the same area within Medway Field as used in earlier years. |

Hi Brian, I'll be there and a mate is coming so there will be the 101 (not the Militant), Rapier trailer, wolf tent and connector and maybe a small tent too (for my mate) Really looking forward to the show. Cheers, Ian. |

Brian Do you have a pace stick ! - to help mark our territory- not sure my Land Rover little puddles of love will show up on the grass ! Looking forward to meeting up with everyone and seeing the old grounds. I see they have copied the circular one way system once in. Do remind us about cash needed to pay for the loos. |

Have just returned from The Hop Farm, after marking out the club area, what a game that was. Could not get into Medway Field as this is being sublet to a company which runs hovercraft drives and instruction, as well as other things. So left with going into the America's Field. Managed to grab a short edge section, backing onto the off road course, and a larger open area section opposite this. This larger area is 60+Mts x 20+Mts which should be suitable for about 8 or 9 vehicles and tents, plus the smaller section which will have my three vehicles and tents, plus the toilets and still have room for another vehicle or 2 and tent. This has not been an easy task this year, as on finishing the organizer's team decided to mark out the road ways, and this may have an affect on the final layout which we will not know about until tomorrow or later. The chosen spot is located in the America's Field, so over the bridge and into the field, turn right and follow the roadway down about two thirds of the field and the spot is marked either side of the road. Normal Black and Yellow topped road pins with blue nylon rope and orange markers, plus 101 FCC&R signs. I will be on site from Saturday 22.07.17, contact will be limited to phone coverage, but should be OK.

Great work again Brian as always. We're looking forward to it. Hopefully we get there and back without incident this year. Looking at the map it's a wonder how they're going to fit everyone in. |

The map is definitely not to scale, and there was room for everyone before the move to Folkestone, plus have been told that numbers could be down a little. For a start none of the Scottish 101 lads are coming to the show this year, so that's between 2 and 4 vehicles less. Looking forward to meeting everyone, only 3 more sleeps, and we are there. |

We are now 99% loaded, and am now contemplating going down to the venue today (Friday). To set up our camp site, also have friends in adjoining areas, who want to meet and chat. Watch this space.............for more news. |

Well that's the 2017 W&PR over, all back home now, and all vehicles just waiting to be fully unloaded, managed to get the tents put away whilst they were still dry-ish but will need to be aired out. Great to meet old friends and make new ones. As normal the event was made by the vehicle owners and visitors, without whom the show would not be the same. Show report and photos to follow. |

May I say a big thank you to Brian and Ellie for both marking out, ordering the loos and being the fab hosts that they do so well. It was a slightly wet and muddy event but I believe everyone was excited about being back on the home turf.... There was a few niggles like lack of space as people had "grabbed" far more than they needed elsewhere and the weather made the tracks muddy and so the loos for the public got a battering and there was no water or showers in our big field - but would the army have moaned - well actually they probably would have done but we did not - just enjoyed the friends and 101 owners atmosphere. Watch out for a few photos in six stud. (How come FB will accept any size photo yet these websites want you to resize everything....) |
