Seems the forms are up for the 2017 entry.

I know they really try to offer a fab experience and through sponsorships they are
trying to ensure that the cost for vehicle owners is as little as possible.

For the last two years the RAF have supplied an operational Chinook and I believe
either both or one of the 2016 attending historic helicopter/s are provisional booked
again.

The arena and the fun 4X4 hole in the middle seemed to have been even deeper last
year so who knows for this year !

Having spoken to the two show organisers - they have confirmed subject to RAF
operational needs the on duty Chinook will be back and you can have a guided
tour and sit in the back - sadly only on the ground unless you are one of the
lucky cadet units that get flown in for the day !

There will be two other historic flight Heli there as well.

As well as a T34 tank firing in support of the fab re enactment battles in the arena
there is talk of two ex 4.5 naval guns being brought in to support "our" side !

Capel village is small and the directions are - turn left so by the side of the only petrol
station and opp the church and then it's just a mile down the lane with directions
to follow on the day.

I believe it is just £6 for the day for the general public and there will be both a food
outlet and a beer tent with entertainment for the vehicle and re enactment groups
- I think on the friday but maybe the Saturday evening as well - no promises.

The RAF operational chinook will only be there on the Saturday but maybe the two
historic flight helicopter will remain for the sunday - Gatwick causes issues re flight
plans out.

The budget has increased for the battles / Ammo and the weather looks good.
A busy team are there today finishing off the set up.

I was going to try & make it but we have too much going on this weekend & the 101 is not yet ready for such a long run.
