WARTIME IN THE VALE

18th & 19th June

some club members have been asking about this
so here you are
this is a popular show with some of our club members attending quite regularly now
primarily a military show (so very much a green theme)
but as well as some 101's turning up on the day so do members and friends

so far
mike the bike (noel his brother+ 109 Ll/rover)
Darren 101
ian (narune)101
Simon tasker (blue dodge) also a club member
Mally in his military 110
rob hallam bringing something
adam? jeep
off road stevie 101 ambi
Me
Perri
jim tranter 90 wolf & lightweight
usually a visit by Les Adams & Ray
and others

a bit of a test for our motors and equipment before the years
pilgrimage to WAR & PEACE
good entertainment in the beer tent on a night
and late late camp fires with more beer oh and food
maybe the famous curry night sponsored by T.I.T.S.

so the more the merrier if only for a day visit with or without motor
see you there

Dave (Toddy)

is anyone from my neck of the woods (Woking, Surrey) going, and would be wiling to take a 9x9 tent there for me...I will not be bringing it back...Toddy has already done a deal on it :)
I can also drop it to someone if they are close-ish to me prior to the event.

Thanks,
Mick

Mike
does this mean you can't take it
or you just trying to make it easier for you?
Ian's panicking as it's the tent he will be using
brian nunns just e mailed me for a tent also
looks like the start of the camping season
wicksteed at war next week then wartime in the vale
the week after.
there coming thick and fast now.
went to malvern today and may have bought several more tents
and some quantity of traler covers.
so a busy week ahead.

see you all soon Toddy

Hi Dave...just wanted to make it easier. If I have the 9x9 on the ferret it's gonna be a bugger to refuel.
It will be there no matter what :)

Ian, which way will you be going on m25? North or south? I could meet you if you are going south?

If I was going to use the M25, I'd go north but I can go cross country, up the M11 and west from Cambridge as it may be a little more pleasant in the drivers seat of the 101

hi toddy, might sound a bit picky but where is this event?

would be helpful if anyone posting an event either attached a link to the organisers web page or the location of the event..

Mike...I'm going down to Surbiton again this weekend. If you can get the tent to the address where I am going, I can take it to Toddy when I go to Wartime in the Vale.

I'll be going round M25, to J10 then up A3 to Surbiton. If I get a lift with my mate. If I go down on the train...I will begoing that route in reverse...A3 to J10 then up M25.

Wartime in the Vale FB page is now stating that they are now not accepting any further applications as they are now north of 450 vehicles and that the tickets will be mailed in the next week.
