We'll be heading up there from Mexborough in the afternoon sometime, so only about 40 minutes from door to showground.

We'll roll up when the notion takes us prolly.

I think everyone will be OK, but the organisers ask me to note that there are

Fantastic show, and great people - just got back in, after emptying the truck and ferrying stuff from work to home - and fixing the flat on the car we left behind....

Simon, poor bugger, was waiting for AA recovery - the fuel pump he'd got as an emergency fix overfuelled the carbs.

Met a load of club members who've never had a club presence at a show in the North.

Thanks to all those who helped - ie everyone ! It was 101-derful. ;-)

We got in about half ten. Trucks still loaded up as I'm sick of the sight of it.

She was left running whilst we hooked up the trailer. I noticed a lack of power whilst driving round to the gate, and noticed the temperature gauge pointing at the 110 mark.

We let her cool down and topped up the water, only to find she didn't want to go on gas. She was running ok on petrol so we set off with intention to try her on gas later on. Filled her with gas, and £40 of petrol for good measure.

To cut to the chase, £180 in petrol down her has conveyed us home with some to spare. I think I know how Eddie feels now.

Other than a large hole in the wallet we both had a great weekend, enjoyed everyones company (even though we were floating between three groups) and came away with a couple of absolute bargins from the autojumble.

A decent (and waterproof) canvas to replace the shrunken holey one on Joanna £40. Fair enough it's an LHD one, but so was her previous one. I was also pretty chuffed at getting hold of a Pick and shovel for the front for the miniscule sum of £10. Big thanks to Simon and John respectively for their finds.

To add to my tale of woe getting home the clutch has also started to serve notice, and one of the carbs is leaking fuel. Coupled with the overheating issue I've decided she's having the engine hoyed out, the appropriate bits swopped over, and a 9.35:1 Disco enigne with Efi withh be getting dropped in attatched to a new clutch.

No pictures I'm afraid.

Glad you all had a good weekend & havnt you noticed the advantages of having two seperate fuel systems  .......would have sorted the faulty fuel pump out & the flooding carb......& the failure of the gas system ...mind doesnt solve everything 8) i took out breakdown with IC BREAKDOWN which was only for one vehicle & covered roadside & recovery for £29 a year so to me that was a bargain......although i dont intend to use it

What a weekend!!! I'm still buzzing!!! :D

Great weather, great company, we all had a great time and Daniel our 5 year old loved it as well (his first camping trip).

We also managed to get 2 of our 101's in the 60 year line up in the main ring.

Had a good run home, just over 2 hours and 84 miles. Passed quite a few broken down landys on the way that were obviously returning from the show (all newish ones) and got a wave from each of them as we rumbled past. The oil seeping down my rear wheel looks like its a hub seal (not been in to see yet) but the brake fluid level didnt drop during the trip back (watched nervously for the first few miles), I just left a bit more room for braking

Great to meet you all and I'm looking forward to any future shows we can attend.

The lady organiser from LRO was not too impressed by the state of the site facilities, expect changes next year !
