I spoke to Donna the other week and a few 101 are already booked in for this year’
Military event with the rare chance to drive on the off road course next door
at Merc World.
Although the final official signing in was last sunday as per the 101 FB post - no one
has ever been turned away at the gate as they do not really have a list at the gate.
I guess there is a chance that you would not receive a vehicle plaque as they would
have been pre ordered.

So do please come along whether to dust off those wheels or as a civvi.

A breakfast bap followed by a gentle vehicle stroll on the off road course is not a bad way
to spend a sunday morning.
I believe we have to be parked up by 10am so the public are safe to wonder
at the display.
Last year there was more re enactors than previously expected.

Past photos on last year’ post.

I'm going in my Lightweight and Paul Clark is bring his GS Mortar truck.

Have to be in place by 10 and stay til 4, should be a good show and there's plenty to see at Brooklands besides.

We're going, it will be nice to see everyone again. Always a good day out at Brooklands.

The annual visit to the famous old racing track and pre war museum in Surrey UK.

So a fun day with the added benefit of being one
of the new groups who got to see the two new engineering hangers.
It was opened just last week by Prince Michael.

If you follow the learning zone trail with your “clocking in card” - it is very hands on
and all by touch so no TV screens.

We had twelve 101 attending today including a vampire and a very tidy
101 but I did not catch the owner. It was very clean inside too.

Obviously the highlight for me and my daughter was a complete surprise -
I won an annual 101 so the fab Norman Busby award so I was doubly pleased
with the day.
i was thrilled to be following in the steps of such 101
members like - Wilf Beames, Steve Knight, Brian W Nunn
Graham Will Collins, Dave Todd, David Dobbie, Hans Jansen
After a H&S briefing from the Merc World off road course
team - we all trundled to the starting point.
No water snakes and not much mud or water to play in - unless you
looked for it !
Seems “seat belts” was more important than a deact certificate
this year.
