I urgently need to get a new brake pipe made up (Rear RH - 70.20.18 in Workshop Manual), and am struggling to find the correct size/type of union nuts to fit the existing original brake components (wheel cylinders/3-way adapters/etc). The existing (original) union nuts look like they might be 3/8" UNC with a tapered thread (Possibly!). Can anybody please supply me with the correct size/designation of the union nuts required, together with the correct designation (if any) of the dies that should be used to swage the ends of the brake pipe?
Many thanks indeed for any help you can provide!

3 hours later ... I subsequently found Martin's excellent spreadsheet listing all nut/union sizes. THANKS MARTIN!!! Followed this with a 30-mile trip to get new pipe made up with correct fittings, and I'm now waiting for paint on the new pipe to dry before fitting it.
So ... Problem sorted thanks!! :D :D :D

Hi Bill the unions should all be the same into the wheel cylinder use 3/16 pipe. The flaring tool will be option 1 / bubble or option 1 & 2 to give the concave flare, just copy what you already have.

to fit wheel cylinders....male 3/8-24 unf

to fit the brake hose ...female 3/8-24 unf
