Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone has been off-roading here? I realise it is/was MOD land but I've seen some of the videos on youtube and was wondering what general access was like? Is it open to the public or during special events only?

I'm fairly close by nearby in Godalming and have been researching green lanes. Can anybody suggest any others nearby?

Cheers.

There are a few in the new forest but they're short.

Check out http://www.wetroads.co.uk/ for some interesting water splashes and long wet byways. There are some up near you as Hampshire is full of them.

Other than that try http://maps.hants.gov.uk/rowreporting/default.aspx and look for the brown roads... Some are tame and well maintained but others can be totally wild...

If you find anything near you that is fun then shout about it on the forum!

Stu

We've taken our 101 up there a few times on driving days, there is usually a driving day every christmas.

I will try to organise a salisbury plains 101 trip in the new year. Nothing too difficult but some nice views etc

Myself & my 2 lads participated in the ' Kings Stag' event twice yearly running some years ago. 14 101s if I remember + my old Perkins powered R/Rover classic. I would love another drive over the plains....but will need to finish putting my GS back together 1st
