Last summer: A little late, I know

Seem to be missing a button to create a new album/upload photos, so posting them here for your interest.

A member of our Landy Club in Passau knows this guy with an active sand pit. At least once per year we go and play in it for a weekend and every time it is different.
Last year I took along my 101 for some fun.

Here are a couple of more photos.

BTW - I could not get enough swing to get up the hill and finally gave up before I ended on my side!

Some nice pictures there Chris. You can either post in one of the relevant sections, or create your own thread in the Club members vehicles section & post your adventures or work you do on your own vehicle there.

You could always do a write up & send it to me at Six Stud as well 8) [email protected]

Thanks Pete!

The "bit dim" question: When you say, "...create a new thread in the Club members vehicles section..." do you mean in the Gallery -> User Gallery? The last postings I see there are in 2010 and I thought it was broken... I also don't seem to have any upload button.

I'll gladly post build progress and trip reports - Just need a pointer to the preferred location.

Cheers
p.s. We have another weekend planned to this sandpit on June 19 - I'm hoping to have at least my new fold-up bed completed by then. Will be more comfortable than the sun lounger I've been using :D

Hi.
Looks fun.

How did the 101 compare to the Pinz. Go on be honest.

Thanks Pete - I said it was a dim question. Got it now. Cheers

Honest? The Pinz seemed to have no problem getting up that pile of sand while the 101 couldn't quite get over the hump at the top despite taking a REALLY long run at it. After two attempts I had difficulty keeping a straight line and buried it. We rocked at an alarming angle to the driver's side and I quickly pulled my arm inside!! That's when I called it a day. Of course what feels bad in the cab, doesn't look so bad from a spectator's point of view, but I wanted to drive home too.

There are some tricks to dealing with ruts and soft terrain.
I would assume most members here are familiar with sawing the steering wheel back and forth, not always taking the exact same route of the previous vehicles, lowering tyre pressure, etc.
New to the site so unfamiliar with what has been posted in the past.
