Yes , they are definitely going up in value fast this year. I always said you will never lose money on a running 101

I have revalued mine to double its original value for the insurance this year, I think everyone should check their insurance valuation in light of what 101's are fetching this year.

The only bargains out there are from people who took their 101 apart and never got round to putting ai back together

Yep and I was happy to get it for that - can't wait to pick it up Wednesday night!

Still trying to convince the wife about the 'investment' aspect of the 101!

I plan to hold it for a long time and £7.7k was not much above my budget so what the hell, the land rover shaped hole in front of my house will once again be filled :)

Only paid £3,500 for my GS  Like Les, I wasn't expecting to lose money, but never expected it to appreciate either.

Now you're just showing off - but if you can find a RHD mechanically sound GS with a solid chassis these days for £3,500 then you're a better man that I! Next you'll be saying yours even had a nokken on it...

Its not really about what you pay for something, its more importantly the value you get from ownership. The fact that it may go up in value during ownership is a bonus! 8)

Thanks Les, I'm in the New Forest in Hampshire. Just got back from Leicester with the 101. I was amazed at how civilized and refined a drive it was, 150 miles in the flash of a grin! Parking at this end however, humm. Power assisted steering is on the cards I think but first I need to change the swivel housing seals and sort out the pull to the left on the odd occasion when aerodynamic drag is insufficient to bring the vehicle to a halt!

I'll be ordering a few items from club spares once I've financially recovered from my recent excess so I can afford the fee :) and I've had a chance to inspect the brake situation more carefully.

Toby is a true gent btw - if you're after any of his other disinvestments in the future don't hesitate! He ensured that I knew exactly what I was buying so I went in eyes wide open. The vehicle was exactly as described down to the rivet.

Pics of the 101 once the sun and my sons oblige.
