To insert a picture the file size must be less than 100kb - this is a size limit set by our current web host and there is nothing we can do about it currently. Therefore I'm sorry to say you must resize the picture if you want to insert it as an attachment to your post
There are numerous free online picture resize software which are relatively simple to use:
Option 1) This free re-sizer takes just 3 steps:
http://www.resize2mail.com/ Having resized it you are then ready to place a pic at a specific place within your post, eg as I have done so below using the "inline" option on the forum

Option 2) This free re-sizer gives you a couple of extra options
http://www.picresize.com but is a bit slower to use as you have 3 screens to get through
firstly - select your pic from your source folder....

next - set the max file size to 100kb. The other options (1- 3) are effectively irrelevant if you set option 4 @ 100Kb

finally save to your folder on your PC and then upload to the forum from that source folder (you can of course use the save as function to overwrite your original file and this prevent your PC having multiple copies of the same image)

Take your pick as to which option you use, it's not much extra work to simply resize before attaching and anyone with a digital camera should have photo edit software on their PC anyway so shouldn't need to use a resize website, just use your own editor
