I noticed these on my ebay home page today and they are of no use to me but know others will be keen for them.

OK a few facts as to why I head off to ebay each and every time.

Last time I advertised on the Forum I ended up with total confusion as people, friends were contacting me and attemtping to contact me by mobile, text, email, messaging on here. There was to be no happy resolve.

With Ebay I pay a price and get a service, the hammer goes down and any dispute over the sale is managed by the 3rd party.

I've asked for an estimates of worth previoulsy and no one come has back to me so I cant tell whether I'm losing out or whether a price is hilariously high. I understand that it may be an imposition to ask , so with Ebay the final price is the right price.

For whatever reason, its against the rules of the forum for me to advertise the fact that Im seeling my goods elsewhere, So I wont do that.

However what's staring everyone on the face who's read both posts is that the rules pretty pointless as now someone else is plugging my junk - yard sales and for the right reasons, becasue he is thinking of everyone else here.

Does anyone else think the rule needs revising and if so how?

Steve

Most forums have a "stuff on ebay" section, this would allow you to plug your ebay listings.
Should you not agree or are not interested you choose not to look in that section.
Simples.

Totally agree. When you know the price of an item but want a member to get a bargain then it's great to advertise straight on here. If you're slightly unsure of the price and ask for advice you get wishful buyers and wishful sellers advice and there can be quite a bit of difference. I advertise on ebay when I want some cash, but advertise on forums when I want a member to get a bargain. What's annoyed me off is seeing my "bargin" be sold on at a higher price. Not really in the spirit, but some people don't care.

An ebay section would give everyone on here a heads up of a potential item, but keep the seller impartial to the outcome.

Ebay section would get a vote from me.
