CAMSKIL in UK seem to stock the yellow sea brand so may be an agent... or be able to import them

IMHO Price is high for even ebay.

These are actually a better bet than Michelin , Genuine Michelin XZL's have a speed index of K making them illegal on a class 5 tested vehicle. These have an L speed index so these can be fitted legally to a class 5 tested vehicle. How much is that worth to anyone?

No worse than Michelins price wise, seem plenty available, and are new tyres.
If they're as good as the tyre they're imitating, then probably worth a punt.

Still a high item cost compared to something like the Cooper 315/75R16's craddock is flogging with their wide rims, but probably also a much tougher tyre with it. I suppose it depends what you want to spend your money on, and indeed how much you have in the first instance.

as far as i can tell not any in UK. but for £45k you can get a container full ~ 300+ tyres. delivered to a port of your choice. i think it worked out at about £130 per tyre plus VAT & shipping. so if they are as good or better than michelin it might be a lucrative investment. but imho you would need to substantially test them first.

Has anyone asked the Canucks on eBay about em, and does their price include shipping over here?

If you look, in the listing, at the forth illustration from the left there is a circle and offset in that circle is a Capital E and space for a number. The number is just out of shot (could be a 4 which is what I expect, I think I can see just the tip of the triangle in the figure 4) but have a look and see that you agree with me this is an ECE (Economic Commission for Europe) Regulation 30 Conformity Approval Number - which means that the tyre meets the standards of the European Regulatory Authorities.

The E mark is far right of picture, right on the border.

The answer is in the description of the tyre where it says

"We can offer great shipping rate via our shipper or you can use FreightQuote.com or Uship, etc"

So shipping is extra to the offer price.

(which I thought was pretty obvious anyway, if it is an International listing seen in many countries, the shipping rate will vary from country to country, it would be impossible to give a shipping cost. Think about it can it really be the same cost to send from Canada to a northern American state as it does to send from Canada to New Zealand or the UK?)

so if we assume they are as good as xzl and legal for Uk/euro use i reckon it wouldnt take long to sell 300 tyres _ maybe 12months, given the huge shortage of newish xzls currently on the market. netting a significant profit. now if only i had some ££s and a set to test.

If I have time tomorrow I will stop by and recheck the certification and see what it costs to ship 4 tires to the UK

I sent an email to the seller who responded immediately. In regards to sending tires to the UK:

We can send a 20'container, but sets of 4 or 5 is too much paperwork for all involved

should a group be interested I can help out were I can or even if one or two want 4 or 5 tires I may be able to help out arrange the shipping.

Cheers
Ted

I think if we were looking at a container load, we would be buying direct from china! Keep us up to date with the cost of shipping 5 at a time. :D

Had a quick look at the tires today. Definitely an E4 marking plus DOT.
Tires with tubes about 100 pounds in weight and are about 12" width so will see what some of the shippers want to send over to the UK in sets of 5.
Stay tuned :)

Cheers
Ted
