Seems a bit odd to put up image of Chassis plate showing it as goods vehicle over 3.5Tonnes and therefore HGV (C1) licence to drive and Goods Vehicle MOT!.

All the ambi's must be HGV then, along with all the other GS's with the uprated(by the MOD) chassis/weight plate.
It's not very clear to see the stamped numbers but looks like the 3652kg GVW thats on my ambi plate.
Are you sure that means it HGV?. It's not an articulated tractor/trailer unit.

Hi Steve,

yep HGV, which doesn't exist as such nowadays, now known as LGV, Large Goods Vehicle. The 101 would be a LGV Catagory C although if you have C1 entitlement on your licence you can drive it. An articulated truck or a rigid and trailer is LGV Catagory C+E. The E bit is trailer entitlement, which also applies to Cat B (car licence) and Cat C1.

You'll still need a C1 licence at minimum unless downplated to 3500kg or less...
