According to description its powered by a 2.5 tdi diesel and appears much better than most of the 101 motorhome conversion attempts that I have witnessed. Even then it doesn't appeal to me, as I prefer original G/S and signals bodied vehicles.

Regards, Les.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and have only been on this computer thingy for a few months. The reason I'm asking for a picture of this particular FC, possibly, is because I have it in for repair. It is built on a R/R 100" chassis and axles. The tyres have nearly double the max pressure stamped on the sidewall. The Perkins 4/236 TD and gearbox are rear mounted driving through a propshaft to a LT95 transfer box (mainbox chopped off) and then to the axles, On the top of all that is a big steel body. I've told the owner of the following problems; R/R chassis & axles, 2510kg gross weight, engine, he thinks its a 2 1/4 LR lump, Real concern is the chassis, cut, extended at both ends and the poor quality welding with the use of mastic to fill the gaps in!!!!!! All pipes are cable tied on and some of the brake pipes stuck on with mastic. I've advised the owner to contact LVLO and VOSA ,because this vehicle should not be on the road. He says its a 101 FC.

Photo sent. Intreging, not realy the word I would use, I've got a 'homemade 88"FC' its featured in Junes LRM and it drives safely at 60 mph or more, this othr thing apears dangerous at 25 mph.

Reg Number ASU 919C, chassis no. starts 262.....B, 109" 21/4 petrol, Station Wagon. I've someone gestimates it weighing around 4 ton. It's got an unusual braking system, clutch master cylinder to clutch slave that pushes the pushrod of a R/R servo and operates the tandem system, why does it have to be so complicated, just needs a brake master and remote servo. Does anyone know who built it, is it a new build, where its been, to be honest it doesn't look to have been use successfully ever.

I should point out that I'm presently chairman of FC 2a/2b Register and it's definately not 2a or 2b based and not 101 based either. the bulkhead ,which is widend 5", and the doors are S3, are the only Landrover parts.

Oh please! the lights,& stickers are obviously landrover too

Its not the sort of thing id get involved with, but obviously someone spent many hours designing & building it. Whether its safe or not is down to the MOT tester who examines it. Anyone willing to put their name to it is possibly very brave, although its always going to be hard to really see what its all about unless you get close up. One thing for sure is its definitely FC as you are sitting in front of the front wheels 8)

Sorry to go off-topic but which 88 FC have you got? (I haven't seen the LRM). I know a guy in Shildon who has (or had ) one and I remember years ago seeing two in Steve Graham's yard in Stockton?
I guess yours must be one of these?
