PA Blanchard or get standard handle cut and weld additional length of rod in. pn 595120, If you try and use to start engine the handle usually bends as it's long!

I think the jack handle parts, both metal and wood are standard land rover pn 592219 and 543301

Interestingly neither part was marked as 'new' for 101, Anyone know whether the Series based forward control had the same starting handle?

Yes the Series IIA FC starting handle fits as I forgot to include it when I sold my old forward control. You need to lie under the 101 to feed it into the starting dog, and while it fits and turns the engine, I've never actually tried to start it that way. If there's not enough juice in the battery to turn the engine, then there won't be enough to fire the electronic ignition or activate the LPG electronics. So it's a bit of an ornament unless you want to wind the 101 out of a bog in low first or check your tappets!!
