101 parts and spares hunters

Just in case you put a cheeky bid in the evening having visited the pub and then
you discover a few days later that you have "won" - even if you were the
only bidder...........!

I have used this firm in the past for both a pallet and also for an A4 Jiffy bag sized goods.

Withams quoted me £15 plus vat to get the A4 sized item "ready" and
then more to send it down to London ! - whereas Lincoln Couriers charged
me less than £7 in total - to find the item (they are always hidden in the warehouse....)
repackage it up - take it back to their HQ to weigh it and then deliver it the next
day to me - so a fab service.

So they will do that for any (most) items?
I always fancied a flutter but worried about getting it. Do you just let the courier know the lot number?

Cheers
Mick

NIce tip.. Withams are shocking for postage/delivery... or the £28 per day storage charge no matter what.

Did you have any issues getting the goods released to your courier...

I have to be honest Withams are becoming a bit Del Boy ish with their auctions lately "rare" "must see" "must have" "last few" blah blah on every item.

Lincoln Couriers go there most weeks so they now know how to
handle Withams.
You just pay Withams when you get told you have "won" and on
the invoice is a lot number.
I just forwarded that same email with the lot number and Lincoln
delivered within 2 days (not weekends).

Whatever it is - its couriered - not posted.
There does not seem to be a minimum charge - I got a metal
bracket and it was delivered for £6.75 in total including the envelope - door
to door.
I won it on the Thursday - paid for it and Lincoln collected it
friday whilst warning me they were closed over the weekend
and 9.30 am Monday it was at my house which is towards
Gatwick / Heathrow so not local to Lincoln as a county.
The chap' name is Mark if you want to mention our group name.
