Hi Is looking for around £2800. One would however need to see it to actually value it properly, or haggle.

Its a 12V RHD USAF Rapier TRT, 01AM36, with the pattern Marshalls rear body & would have had a Nokken winch but it looks as if this has been removed. The vehicle served with 19 Sqn RAF Regiment, Brize Norton defending Heyford & Fairford USAF bases from air attack in RAF 6 Wing.

I didn't need the chassis number as I had recognised the vehicle and am really upset to see it in such a distressed state. I also cannot understand how people can leave vehicles out in the weather to deteriorate like that, without at least refitting the tilt or tarping it up to protect it.

I am not sure where it is, the owner said Austria but the phone number says Germany, perhaps give him a call & get the location & have a look if you have time.

I called and left a message to call me back. Nothing so far.
How long will you be in Vienna? If you are flying over my house, look out for the 101 on the front driveway, but I'm in Dresden today!

Anyone got an answer about the whereabouts of this to be rescued lonely one? ( and does the chassis number tell you what year was it built?)

Kind regards and I really should only focus on a LHD seller,

Abel

Hi Les,

Thanks. That saves Paul a search.
I'm in contact with him about this GS.

To be continued.

hi all.

i've been followed for 1070km.
one tank of diesel to reach it, two tanks of diesel to get home.
taken 18 hours to get home. some kind of holy day or whatever in germany. it meant something like; get all out and fill the roads!
had taken all out of my grande espace. thought maybe the spare tires would fit. yeah right. only the inner tubes were lucky.

at home at last...........

that's the idea.

first the chassis needs some days sandblasting by another, then a day crying by me and after that i'll start ordering weld-on units and i'll be restoring it....

anyone got some spare time for me?
