£750 seems a little steep for a box, recon or not. Ashcroft dont charge that for a complete LT77/LT230 combo.

The LT95 is simple enough (and parts cheap enough) that you'd be better rebuilding the old unit yourself, or at least have it done locally. Parts are much cheaper to get shipped over too.

IIRC everything inside is the same as the Range Rover version, aside the input shaft, and the transfer gears, depending on what ratio you have fitted.

Withams prices are not "minimum bid", they are usually "Guide prices", and their sales are sales by tender, so you make an offer, and see if it was the highest bid. Their guides are a way of pushing the prices up. You might be able to tender an offer of 100 quid and have it accepted.

£750 ? they are having a laugh   I have a cracking low mileage gearbox with ancills(transfer box,all levers and linkages)and I could not sell it (I tried twice )on e blag for £250 - and they expect £750 ha.
While I am on the subject of gearboxes I checked the s/n on it and it is 95600629a, my 101 has the chassis no 95600104a, is this common???
