Background Story.
I have just spent two years building an expedition camper on a GS Model 101. The vehicle conversion involved fitting an ISUZU 4BD1T motor, an NV4500 five speed gearbox and an LT230 transfer case with overdrive. We also reduced the rear axle ratio to 4.1 and added a Detroit Locker to the rear axle. We used the rig for the first time last summer on an shakedown trip to the Yukon Territory and the Rocky Mountains We were very pleased with the rig overall as it runs economically at quietly at highway speeds and is awesome of road thanks to the low ratios and locker. However we found the original brakes dangerously pathetic even though the drums were in perfect condition and had all new shoes and cylinders.

So we spent the winter adapting a set of thirteen inch disc brakes off a GMC truck with slotted discs and ceramic pads. We replaced the loading valve with a Wilwood adjustable valve to reduce pressure on the rear axle The results using the original master cylinder and servo are dramatic. In a panic stop it is possible to lock the front wheels. The stopping distance is shorter that the Australian ISUZU powered 110 we used on previous expeditions in Africa and elsewhere.

So I have for Sale.......
A completes set of four good drums, with backing plates and virtually new cylinders and a loading valve assembly for sale here a 101 desert called Vancouver Canada. Asking US$300.00
