2- Pre-production 1972 FC 101's For Sale in Canada

Hello, I am new to the 101 forum but not to Land Rovers. I am posting an ad for a friend that does not have internet access.
He has for sale 2- 1972 Pre-production FC 101's. These vehicles were brought into Canada in the early 1970's presumably by the military
for testing. He has owned these vehicles for more than 40 years now and it is time to part with them to a good home.
Unfortunately they have been stored outside for several years and have not run for over 5 years at least. They are believed to be the only
ones built with these front cabs with a turret hole? in the roof. They are both left hand drive and have the 3.5 litre Rover V8. They both have the side mounted Norwegian? winch. They both have a fold out drivers side windscreen and a Smiths Speedograph mounted on the right side of the cooling tunnel next to the Vin plate. They are sequential serial numbers: 9640002A and 9640003A. They will both require a Full Restoration. One has a clear Ontario, Canada title and the other is not titled but the owner feels this could be done if required. There is also spare parts to go with this package including an engine, some axle parts, some springs etc. etc. Some parts are NOS and some are used. These vehicles are in as found condition. They will be sold in as-is condition with no warranties expressed or implied. The buyer will be responsible for all the costs and arrangements of shipping, taxes, duties, towing etc. incurred. Please! If you are interested I will gladly send you photo's of the vehicles. They are located just outside of Ottawa, Ontario Canada. The asking price for the two vehicles and all the parts is 16,000 British Pounds.

I've actually heard of these two trucks. There's an article about them in the 101 book that came out last year. With the price of the loonie the way it is, how far would usd get me? :P

I'm sure we'd love to see some pics

Hello again, I am having difficulty getting my steam powered laptop to allow me to get a Photobucket link.
So I'd suggest for now to send me your email address and I will send you the pictures directly.
Thanks again,

Andrew
