It would cost me £95 to exhibit my 1 tonner. That's for 4 adults. Not a cheap event to go to, especially when ferry and fuel costs are added on. We are going to travel over to the Yorkshire Show instead this year, to see what it's like and also save a few quid in fuel and entry fees!

OK, so we had a quick chat with Jamie Wells yesterday at Stoneleigh, after trying to get through that we are vehicle exhibitors, it would appear that the Hop Farm is to allow full use of the venue. Including Medway where it is normally nice a quiet, good mixture of vehicles and all back up vehicles can park with the green machines. Have been told that we can, if required, mark out an area the week before and even put tents or vehicles in place. But would need to let them know before hand to ensure access into the site. According to Jamie, all to be the same as before, except run by them. Further details to be forth coming, when they are known.

So the next set of questions will be,
1. Who will be going?
2. Will you be camping in the Medway Area?
3. Are toilets required at the camping spot, and are you prepared to pay for them?

Please let me know as I will be sending out for quotes this week (30.01.17), but would like to know rough numbers so we can work out requirements.

Any questions you want answered, and I will do my best, or will contact the organiser's, to get them. But most Q&A are on their site as are the entry forms.

Hi Brian

I am assuming my usual 101 along with tent and two separate interlopers (but chipping
into the fee/loos). Dan the Ammo man is one - if anyone wants to buy a pre ordered
and dated belt of ammo, or collect deact ammo. Ben the medal collector and researcher
being the other chap.

So me, two youth (they have got taller ! ) and two friends so 3 vehicles.

Maybe an aerial unless there is a new "101musthave....." for this year !
If you go with the loos again then we will happy chip in as usual.
Arriving a few days before depending on what you report back.
We are normally there for 4 days.

Looking forward to the summer.

Hi Les and the Scottish lads, you all will be sorely missed by one and all. How will the traders survive without your presence??? Many thanks for the heads up, and hope you enjoy your Scottish Tour.

Oh and thanks, now we have to suffer even more pressure salesmanship of Toddy, to make up for your absence.

In case you felt the £35 for a complete week of camping and an entry ticket was
good value or not - have you tried putting in as a spectator- 3 adults camping and
for a few nights plus entry - are you sitting down.........

I am so glad that I and my family are all members of IMPS, or we would need to pay more than that, to take the vehicles and camp. To be honest, if I was not an IMPS member I would not attend.

So the layout has been posted on the website

Looks like it is going to be a fairly big show.

Do we know where we are being put?

Cheers,

Ian.

In the later days of Hop Farm W&P, we set up in Medway Field, backing onto the off road course, up towards the river end.

Can see no reason why we cannot do the same again, unless there is room in America Field. Medway is normally the least congested, but depends on number of exhibitors.

Ok, thanks Brian.

I will be bringing the 101, rapier trailer and will need room of or a wolf tent too.

Really looking forward to it.

Thanks,

Ian.
