Looked like they'd broken the back of the white GS in the bottom RH photo?

Looks like it had a very hard landing, Big gap between the cab and body and i guess the other picture is the same truck given the shape of the fuel tank!

The americans give a good idea how not to do it.

This month's Military Machines has a feature on electronic warfare that has pictures of an intercept and what appears to be some prototypes. Was browsing it in the local shop, as a european subscriber, my copy comes via France and is always 6-7 weeks late, haven't had March issue yet

Hi Sean

The MMI article is a useful overview of EW. However all the Vampire with trailer photos are of the trials EW box trailer. I've identified 4 of this "box" trailer type. As far as I know this trailer never went into service and was superceded by the standard wide track EW trailer with the tailor made boxes.

The Intercept Complex truck photos are of the trials truck with the mast trailer. I believe this combo was used for stability trials.

The author has included an interior shot and an exterior shot of V2 75FL93. However, he has either misunderstood or misinterpreted some of the "modus operandi" info I gave him at Kemble 2008.

Cheers
