hey guys what type of leads would you use to replace on the v8 to keep original ?

I believe they be of Lucas origin ?

Depends if you're running 12 or 24 volt.
12 volt I wouldn't bother too much about originality. Rover V8s have a tendancy to eat leads, so frequent replacement is reccommended, 12 months or 12k miles. Either that or splash out on a set of magnacore leads.

I put magnecor leads on my 101 with petronix dizzy and coil, much better running.

is there a specific guage 7 mm ?thanks derek

I think the last set I put on the 101 (standard leads) were 6mm.
The magnacore set I've got on the 110 are 8mm.

where did you get them as i'm in canada ebay?
